Small Workshops

These one and a half hour workshops for small groups will be repeated on demand. Indicate your preferred time on the registration form. With a maximum of 15 people per workshop you're sure to have your questions addressed.

  • Breeder Management Workshop
    Aziz Sacranie from Alltech will lead workshops discussing how to maximize breeder performance. The emphasis will be on feeding systems for rearing.

  • Hatchery Management Workshop
    A hatchery management specialist Scott Martin (Cobb-Vantress) will lead small group discussion sessions on hatchery management including chick quality assessment. The workshop is designed specifically for people working in hatcheries.

  • Post-Mortem Workshop
    Steve Collett from the University of Georgia who specialises in gut health will run the workshop. He will use his own slides and a video hosted by Dr Alastair Johnston a practising veterinary surgeon specialising in poultry in the UK. Dr Johnston presents a standardized approach to the investigation of a disease situation in a poultry flock. The workshop is intended for company field technicians and farmers. An industry veterinarian will answer your questions.

Mike Czarick (University of Georgia, USA) will lead a one-day tunnel ventilation management workshop. The workshop is aimed at both meat chicken growers and egg producers. Mike will be talking about combating summer heat and humidity issues, shed design and size, equipment, heating and cooling.

Mike's practical approach and wealth of knowledge will make this workshop well worthwhile attending.
